In 1983 TPR came to Tenafly among the Northern Valley area. It was quickly established as a local go-to spot for a casual, lively setting with good food inspired by family recipes.
TPR chefs have a total of over 75 years inside the kitchen. TPR reenergized itself with our newest member/owner, Robert Perlstein, who graduated from Syracuse University with a business degree in Marketing, The French Culinary Institute with a Culinary Arts degree and the Institute of Culinary Education with a Culinary Management degree with highest honors. This complements his front-to-back restaurant experience in Manhattan, New Jersey and Montauk. On top of that, he has fond memories of going to TPR as a kid.
Robert approaches classic Italian cuisine respecting tradition but has incorporated some exciting new twists towards fresh, seasonal, market-available selections. Special requests not on the menu can be prepared if desired. In addition, the wine list has been revised to include many reasonably priced wines of assorted varietals to accommodate even the most discerning palette.
In the heart of the local landscape TPR introduces the new TPR Bar room! With a focus on quality food, community and warm hospitality we promise to be a place where memories are made.
